The Allternit Platform API lets developers build on the same agents, phone numbers, voice, texting, channels and twin layer that Allternit runs for its own users. Everything lives under https://api.allternit.com/v1.
The Platform API is in private beta. It answers 404 not_found_error with code platform_api_disabled on every /v1 route except /v1/chat/completions and /v1/models until it is switched on for the deployment (ALLTERNIT_PLATFORM_API=1). Before that, ALLTERNIT_PLATFORM_API_BETA_OWNERS (comma-separated Clerk user ids) opens it for those accounts only: their console and the projects they own work, and every other caller, including one with an invalid key, still gets platform_api_disabled.

How it fits together

Conventions

  • JSON in and out; IDs are prefixed (proj_, acct_, agent_, call_, num_, msg_, wh_, evt_).
  • Lists use cursor pagination: ?limit=&after= and { "data": [...], "has_more": true, "next_cursor": "…" }.
  • Every POST accepts an Idempotency-Key. See Idempotency and limits.
  • Errors share one shape. See Errors.
  • The OpenAPI 3.1 description is cmd/allternit-cloud-api/openapi/platform-v1.yaml; a test fails if a /v1 route and the spec disagree.

Plans

Prices and what each plan includes are on the pricing page. New here? Start with the quickstart. Uptime figures are targets, not guarantees, unless a contract says otherwise.

Rules built in

Every call says it is an AI assistant (you can reword it, not remove it). Texts out go only to people who texted the number first (the one opt-in path the carrier registration declares); calls out go to people who contacted the number first or whose consent was recorded. STOP is always honored. Recording is off by default. Only stock voices are available. Healthcare data and other regulated uses are out of scope during the beta.
