The Allternit Factory build removed the old names. If a script, skill or agent instruction still uses one, it now fails; this page says what to use instead.
The old names are removed, not aliased. allternit-rails, allternit-commrails, commrails, rails, ao and the ao-* scripts don’t exist after the Factory build, and the old env vars stop working in the same release. Update your scripts, skills and agent instructions. The one exception is two HTTP route prefixes, kept for a short time for apps already installed (see HTTP routes).
CommRails (the work engine) and the agent orchestrator (ao) are now one engine, allternit-factory, and you drive it through gizzi. The internal maintenance commands that had no user-facing home (ledger, index, lease, vault, replay, hook, mail, steer, peer, plan, wih, identity, bridge) live under the engine’s hidden allternit-factory internal core … group.

Gizzi’s older commands

gizzi agent list no longer prints four hardcoded names. gizzi agents ps lists the bots that exist.

Environment variables

Every old prefix moves to ALLTERNIT_FACTORY_*.

HTTP routes

/api/rails/* and /api/commrails/* still answer, with their old subpaths, as aliases of the routes above. They stay only until the apps already in people’s hands stop calling them (ai.allternit.com and Desktop, through allternit-ai, and gizzi-code 2.1.9 and earlier), and are removed in the release after that. /rails/* and /commrails/* are gone. Don’t write new callers against either old prefix. The moved routes are served in process by allternit-api, behind the same auth as before; the full list is in Architecture: routes allternit-api serves in process. Allowed-prefix lists (Desktop, the agent daemon) dropped /rails; /api/ already covers /api/factory. See the Factory API reference for the engine’s resources.
