Open Settings → Customize → Agent rules on Desktop, ai.allternit.com or the m.allternit.com PWA. The Agency Kernel overview groups configuration into five areas. Live summaries use your signed-in organization’s configuration; unavailable services show their status instead of example data.

Configure

Choose Organization, Workspace or Project, then choose a section: Guardrails, Approvals, Budgets, Completion, Network & environment, Data & privacy, or Custom rules. Inheritance labels identify where an effective value comes from. Reset an override to restore its parent value.
  • Network & environment: ask before private-network access or enable strict execution fencing. Metadata and link-local targets remain blocked. Hosted Agency runs retain their strict fence.
  • Data & privacy: local-only model routing restricts Agency model candidates at the selected scope. Without a local candidate, a run requests attention before executing a model. This setting does not restrict tools or connectors. Credential-read exceptions must be permitted at organization scope.
  • Custom rules: supply rule text and a matching pattern. Patterns match tool names, commands and paths as case-insensitive substrings or globs (*, ?). Choose ask or deny. Incomplete rules remain drafts until both fields are filled; complete rules save when you leave a field. Patterns are not a network firewall.
  • Completion: require verification; agent self-close stays locked off. Hosted kernel policies cannot be weakened by a setting.

ABI & Contracts

The browser displays frozen ABI 1.0.0, 65 contracts and 191 primitives. Search contracts, select one, and inspect its full JSON Schema, fields, validation rules, example, related references and source provenance. Copy schema copies the complete schema document with $ref pointing to the selected definition, retaining sibling definitions needed for validation. Cross-file references retain their canonical schema locations. The version selector lists the bundled current version. Frozen contracts are read-only; Propose v1.1 opens a proposal. See Kernel contracts and the contract reference.

Decisions

Categories lists registered decision types and their calibration. Custom types start in shadow with recommendation authority; they cannot grant permissions or close work. Policies opens custom ask/deny rules. Verifiers opens templates where verifier steps can be added. Completion configures verification requirements. Overrides opens model routing and capability overrides.

Execution tiers

The canonical tiers are S0 Commands, S1 Decisions, S2 Generate and S3 Solve. Configure the S1 backend, S2 default and per-capability models, S3 solver and fallback, and local-only routing. The retrieval preference is currently recorded in routing evidence; the context compiler does not use it yet. Switching S1 backends requires confirmation and resets decision types to shadow for recalibration. The router selects M0–M6 modes; those are not additional user-defined tiers. Supported Desktop builds also expose decision-text retention for local S1 training. Web and PWA do not expose this device-only setting.

Skills & Plugins

Manage Installed plugins, My skills, and Templates in the kernel area. Browse/Add opens the existing capabilities manager; enable switches use the installed capability persistence path. Templates can include commands, decisions, generation, verification and attention gates. Actual package availability depends on the connected runtime. Changes to the shared UI reach all three surfaces. The PWA requires its separate release deployment; Desktop requires a new packaged build.
